Event Summary

The Bikes2Blossoms—October marks the beginning of blossom season in the Elgin Grabouw valley where the apple and pear orchards show off their colours.

Bikes2Blossoms is a Cycling South Africa sanctioned event.

This event is also the Western Cape XCM series finals as the last chance for riders to prove who rules the trails.

Elgin Grabouw Country Club

Elgin Grabouw Country Club is approximately 60 minutes from Cape Town and approximately 35 minutes from Somerset West and Hermanus.

Directions:

  • Take the N2 highway heading toward Somerset West
  • Head up Sir Lowry’s Pass
  • Once over the pass, stay on the N2 heading toward Grabouw
  • After ±10 km, take the R321 / Grabouw turnoff (near Peregrine Farm Stall) Continue along the main road (Worcester Street)
  • Follow signs to the Country Club — it will be on/near this road with parking available

Saturday 10 October from 6:00 at the Dragonfly Tri gazebo.

No late entries.

8:00 – 65km MTB
8:15 – 65km E-Bike
8:30 – 40km MTB
8:45 – 40km E-Bike
9:00 – 20km MTB
9:15 – 20km E-Bike

No Refunds or Substitutions without a FlexiPass Add-On.

FlexiPass Add-On:

  • 1 Substitution up to 12 noon the day before the event.
  • 100% refund of the entry fee until 12 noon 30 calendar days prior to the event.
  • 50% refund of the entry fee until 12 noon 7 calendar days prior to the event.
  • No refunds within 7 calendar days prior to the event date.

The FlexiPass Add-On must be selected on check-out when entering the event and cannot be added later.

Estimated time is 12:30, however podium presentations will take place once all categories have finished. We keep the best prizes for the lucky draw! Please note, you have to be at prize giving to collect your podium prize or lucky draw prize. If you are not at prize giving you forfeit your prize.

All age groups taking part in the XCM series need to enter the 65km race.

  • Soho Coffee will be serving freshly brewed coffee and snacks.
  • Woodstock Food Truck will be firing up delicious boerie rolls and juicy burgers.
  • Pizza Trader will be serving their famous, freshly made pizzas.

Parking is provided in the field outside the country club gate. Please follow the directions of the parking marshals.
